Many of you know about the nutrition work we have been doing in Guinea Bissau for the last two years. We have been partnering with colleagues at Tufts University, Challenge Dairy Inc and International Partnership for Human Development to improve the nutrition of mothers and children from birth through primary school.
On the initiative of our Tufts colleagues, we are co-sponsoring a fundraising initiative to build, outfit and launch a school in one of the villages where we worked, where children had no way to get even a primary education.
I’m writing to let you know about this initiative – ‘We Want To Go To School!‘ and request your participation in this project with a contribution.
Please take a moment to check it out on Indiegogo and also share it with your friends. All the tools are there. Get perks, make a contribution, or simply follow updates. If enough of us get behind it, we can make ‘We Want To Go To School!‘ happen!
We are going to Dandu in early March and hope to give the villagers the good news that this school will be a reality for their kids by the start of the next school year.
Thank you from the bottom or my heart!
